Red & White for a Taiwanese Bride

This is the first time I communicated with the groom instead of the bride about their wedding cakes. Ivory sent me an email and after that phone calls came mostly from Lawrence, the man of the day. It's quite strange as most of the time or all the time it will be the bride who normally choose or arrange their wedding cake. I just found out from the blogs of good buddies Benny and Bryan that Ivory is a Taiwanese. ( No wonder..smile..)I should have met both of you guys but time does not permit and I know both were very busy with their wedding preparation.

It just happened that I have a Taiwanese friend too. I won't be surprised if Lawrence know this couple as their kampung are nearby. Chris and Cini. Chris married Cini a Taiwanese in 2004, the same year I got married. I could still remember the two days I spent in Taiwan, the laughter we shared went both me and Cini went to eat japanese noodle somewhre in town, how we communicated, me with no knowledge of Chinese (although I look very much a chinese )and she with lillte knowledge of english and she look more like a kadazan than me. It was good memories which I treasure and cherish and Lawrence and Ivory reminds me of them.

Change of heart

I have to admit that I don't quite like purple. My wedding colour theme was maroon and gold, very strong colour combination. I am not sure if it reflect ones ' personality, may be. I know pink, blue and purple are chosen by many couples as their wedding colour theme. There are sweet colour and I have nothing against those colours but may be just not for me back then. If I would to choose a colour theme now, I will go for green and white..so people do change their colour preference..

I change my heart last Friday while decorating a cake and 100 cupcakes for Derek & Charissa. I love the tones of purple used especially on the cake. I love the details on the board of the cake. Quite tedious to make but for one cake I don't mind spending few hours doing the details.

BEN 10

A Ben 10 fan...his birthday is coming next month..

Ben 10 is sure a decoarator nightmare..I have turned down at least three request to make a Ben 10 decoration cake. It's tough but when Rachel and Juvi ordered last month, I took the challenge and tried. I think I need to watch the series to learn more about Ben 10.

Gone are the days where you are given a 2cm x 3cm cut cake when you attend a wedding reception. I think everyone will be happier to have one cupcake no matter how small it is than a piece of un- icing cake ( smashed to the maximum sometimes..smile.. I think some of you relates to this)


Depending on your budget, we do cater for bulk order. Our price starts from RM1.50- RM5 without packaging and RM2.50-7.00 with packaging. Do emails. We give discounts for order of 500 pieces and above.

For small reception, I do suggest you to have a small cake 9" to cut and serve the rest of your guest with our beautiful cupcakes. You can order depending on the number of your guest. I will be baking and decorating for Charissa & Derek and also for Lawrence & Ivory wedding end of the month. Just can't wait to do this projects.
