My Cupcakes Landed In Istana

When Puan M called me from The Istana Negeri, I was taken by surprised. It was quite last minute and I was quite busy at that time. However I try my best to entertain the order. I was quite grateful as she is a very accomodating lady and did not give me any presure in preparing the cupcakes. She said she just need 30 pieces for few Ambassadors visiting TYT. Since they will be bringing their wives, then flowery design is approriate. I don't really have time to prepare as after work, I hava an appointment with F, an owner of a pub in KK. he called me at wanted to meet to discuss about his cakes menu, then after that I have to attend a birthday dinner. I only manage to start working on the cupcakes after my dinner. Finished everything at 3am in the morning and went to send the cupcakes at 8am before I went to work. It was hectic but I had fun. I didn't tell anyone except some family members I met during the dinner. It was like sureal feeling. Quite embarras to tell you guys that I have passed through the road to the Istana but never really go inside. I have been to Istana Selangor and met the previous sultan and permaisuri but Istana negeri sendiri, I have not been..grin.

Handbag

Farah booked me to make her handbag hantaran cake few months in advance. I have never make any handbag cake before and I know it's a challenge to make one. I told her to give me a design. She gave me LV bag...of all bags..lol. Then I asked her if she really like the design. She then told me that any bag will do as later on confessed that she is not a fan of LV bag. I do like to make LV bag but I have limited time as I have few school holidays order and two wedding order. I wouldn't dare to try a new project with the time that I have. Farah is kind enough to let me change the design in case I can't make it. I just told her the truth that I have never make one but I will try.

So I made her a Chanel bag. Done is two hours. Thanks Farah..

This is the main cupcakes and she goes mad and we went mad making her everydays flip flop..will post just after this. I just love the theme chose by her, Red theme of flip flops. We added few pink and whites for some contrast and changes when her red flip flops goes missing..aha!!

We hope you have enjoyed your mother's day celebration as we did. We had a pot luck lunch at grandma house. We enjoyed eating our own cuppies and we hope all of you did too. Just realized that we made quite a number of cupcakes with special customized decorations on each of the cupcakes. I think that will separate us from others cupcakes seller. We make them just for you- a customized one. It takes a lot of time and work but as long as you like what we have designed, that is enough to make our day. Mother's Day Cake and Cupcake Decorations

Mother's day was just over but I think we should regards mother's day everyday. Anyway I am glad that there is a special day to remember all mothers out there how wonderful they are. And herewith are our special mother's day decorations. Hope you love is as much as we do when we made them. Yea..handmade my me and my sister.

My sister and I took a week break from decorating to prepare all these for the upcoming ( by the time I post this, I should be over) Mother's day. What do you think? I have few decoration ideas but since we enjoyed making these so much and we have orders from different people, so we decide that this will be the theme for our cakes and cupcakes design for 2008. Mind you, they are so cute and suitable for any ladies's cake and cupcakes decorations. We won't limit them just for mother's day.
