I have received few request to conduct a class. Well, I have limited time but I will try my best to conduct small class once or twice a month. I will open my class for kids from the age of 6 years to 12 years old.I have reasons for this which I will blog later on. When Puan M called me from The Istana Negeri, I was taken by surprised. It was quite last minute and I was quite busy at that time. However I try my best to entertain the order. I was quite grateful as she is a very accomodating lady and did not give me any presure in preparing the cupcakes. She said she just need 30 pieces for few Ambassadors visiting TYT. Since they will be bringing their wives, then flowery design is approriate. I don't really have time to prepare as after work, I hava an appointment with F, an owner of a pub in KK. he called me at wanted to meet to discuss about his cakes menu, then after that I have to attend a birthday dinner. I only manage to start working on the cupcakes after my dinner. Finished everything at 3am in the morning and went to send the cupcakes at 8am before I went to work. It was hectic but I had fun. I didn't tell anyone except some family members I met during the dinner. It was like sureal feeling. Quite embarras to tell you guys that I have passed through the road to the Istana but never really go inside. I have been to Istana Selangor and met the previous sultan and permaisuri but Istana negeri sendiri, I have not been..grin.

Simplicity There Is

Say you loving words with Cupcakes...

Since you can't write anything on your weddingcakes, say it with cupcakes...that what the two loving couple did.

I have finally baked, decorated and delivered it. The cakes that I have always wanted to do or 'create'. It may look simple but it is a challenge to make a stack cake this way, as it is heavy, taller and harder to cover compare to normal tier cake. It is even harder to deliver. extra care must be taken to transport this type of cake, hence the increase in price compare to normal single cakes. Westerner loves simple cakes like these and so do I. It just look expensive, at least for me. ( smile)Not many decorator dare to make this type of cake. When I got married I can't find someone who can make this type of cake. When I started baking, I understand the reasons behind.

It's just simple decorated cake but I like the setting. The stacks, the colour, just the simplicity. I bought the roses all the way from Kundasang and I am glad I did coz initially I plan to make the decoration with Sugar paste flower but may be next assignement ya.Since the wedding theme is red and white, the bright roses colour compiment the cakes nicely. May be it will look nice too with Orchid and Calla Lilly, Don't you think so? Personally this is a new achievement for me in 2009.

I received a text messages saying " The cake is so delicious"..It's our new and improved butter cake. Well, what more I can say... I am just happy.

Decorating Help

Happy New Year again...

It's time for a new resolutions. I have achieved most of my 2008 resolutions. That is why I am happy to add more resolutions this year.

One of them is to produce more interesting cakes, contemporary as this blog of mine said.

Seconds, to have more ready made decoration items for those interested to bake but are too busy to make their own decoration items. Please email if you are interested in any of our previous flower designs.

Third is to start a small class in baking or decorating. I would love to teach younger kids to bake, to give them a glimps of what happen in the kitchen.
