Faces Theme Cupcakes For Children Party

I had three different versions of faces theme cupcakes so far. I will sure add more in the future. It's fun making these faces but a very time consuming task. The first one was ordered by Susan. She ordered them for mother's day celebration last year. The second was for my niece just to cheer her up after a week long of hospital admission. The recent one was ordered by Celine.

Celine wants some elmo theme cupcakes for her son Christian Marc but I have not drawn elmo before and with the limited time that I have (while waiting to give birth anytime) I dare not promise that I will make her a special elmo cakes. I can only promise her to make faces theme. The day before I was supposed to decorate her cupcakes, went for my clinic appointment, I was actually nervous that I can't make this order on time. I even dreamt about making her cupcakes the night before. My blood pressure was slightly high during the visit and I know this is the reason. I have to change the decoration to using fondant as I know I will not have the energy to use so many colour. It will take a lot of energy to decorate cakes with so many colours. I have to change the tip and wash it few times. That morning, I woke up at three and could not even sleep until six in the morning. I started everything at six in the morning and only finish with all the work by almost one in the afternoon. The cupcakes are ready for delivery by four in the evening. apart from that I was decorating some belated valentine's order. What a tiring day but I think I had enough work prior labor. I am resting now and will continue this decorating work in April.

What is Halal?

Halal is an Arabic word meaning lawful. It refers to things or actions permitted by Shariah law without punishment imposed on the doer. Why I make a special post on Halal definition? I have received two questions: ."...But i want to know, this cupcakes 'halal' for muslim or not? who made the cupcakes? is a muslim or not?" Simple answer: Whether this cupcakes are halal or not, I don't know. If I am halal or not, also I don't know..(lol) I need to make a post/clarification here so that I won't be asked this question again and again. Elaborated answer: I spent some time researching what the word HALAL means. I found out that it's more on the food and some informations I gathered said that the act ( drinking alcohol) of somebody is also means halal or non halal. I can't find any information where Halal is meant to describe a person's religion or being. Can somebody being Halal? If I am not a muslim, am I not Halal? I am confused... 1. Just to clarify here that all the cakes ingredients is halal ( Halal to my understanding ) as I used the same ingredient bought from all the baking stuff shops in KK. What is not halal about flour, eggs, butter and sugar? Weather they are halal or not ( they are selling them) you have to ask the baking stuff shop... (lol) Note: Fruit cake I use alcohol (non halal) for but it can be replaced with orange juice if requested. 2. Whether I am halal or not I am not sure but I am a NON MUSLIM. so may be I am not halal eh.. To all muslim who are interested with my cakes and cuppies, thank you very much!!! I appreciate your concern and I respect that but I have to advise here that it's your choice to order or not but if you are sceptical or concern, I won't advise you to order from me. I do have many muslim friends (even my best friend is a muslim) and they all eat my cupcakes and cakes. In fact I make sure I told them I made them (or my sister or brother if they are the one) who baked the cuppies. I think it's up to you to decide. I saw many muslim bought cakes from bakery and hotels and I am sure some bakers in those bakery and hotels are not all muslim ( non halal) people. Again.. if you are too concern..I think better don't take the risk..there are so many better cakes shop around KK. But thank you again for your interest.

San Diego reminds me of American Idol. I watched few contestants from San Diego qualified as a finalist from San Diego. I have never been there but I think It’s a nice place to visit. May be in a few years time when I can have enough money to purchase ticket to San Diego. I also found a cool site where I can fine San Diego dining guide.

Is there any websites like this in Kota Kinabalu or Kuala Lumpur? I would love to advertise too. With a website like this, it will help newcomer to search the best restaurant like the best San Diego restaurant. They also provide San Diego restaurant coupon which I found a great way to promote any restaurant. What I like about this site is that they are very details. You can choose your place base on what type of cuisine you are interested in, the neighbourhood of the eating places of your choice, and also the atmosphere of the restaurant of your choice.

Let us see how this work. I have just clicked Club and seven restaurants are being featured. One of them is Jordan Restaurant. When I clicked there, I can see the address, phone number, the cuisine serve at the restaurant and all other information. This will save me a lot of time picking an eating place. I wish somebody will develop a website like this in Kota Kinabalu.

Love Is In The Air...

I enjoyed making all these decoration for valentine's cuppies for all the couples who ordered them from us. I was very surprised with the overwhelming response. Initially we only have two orders. Since my sister is away and I am ' injured' ( i'm in my 38 weeks of pregnancy and i can deliver anytime according to my gynae), we are quite hesitate to take the orders. I consulted my brother if he can make them. He said, sure I can...just take order. So, I just publish a short post and within 24 hours- not even 24 hours I have to close the order. Thank you so much guys. Lucky, I didn't give birth yesterday..lol

Here are the pictures of the cuppies I have decorated. This is the first time i decorated more than 300 pieces of cuppies. Wow not bad for a mom to be. I love the cupid very much and i hope they like it too. The embosser cost me USD6.00 bought in New York. So glad I can use it this time.

My friend suggested that I sell my cakes online. Is there any online cakes shop in Sabah? So far, I have not found any. The idea made me think. Selling online means I need to have my own website. I need to have somebody design my shop layout. May be I need to pay for hosting and domain too. Other than that, I need somebody to maintain my shop. Take order and do other things. What else I need to do? Bake cakes and may be I need to think seriously about delivery. I do not have a shop and most people now like a home delivery services. Can I handle that? I need to find a permanent delivery boy. I do have a part time delivery boy right now but if my business is getting more publicity, I can’t depend on a part time worker. I also need more space and more time to bake. Although I have found Ashop Commerce, which I think will help me in setting up my business, I am still not sure. Oh! Ya, In case some of you are ready, do check their ecommerce software. Ashop Commerce is a leading provider of hosted shopping cart software. It offers a complete solution for merchants to sell online. They do have a shopping cart feature, which I think will make your website more attractive and bring conveniences for people to order more than one cakes. Cakes For Babies

I can't wait to bake and decorate a baby shower cake or if here in Malaysia we call it full moon cake. My theme will be pink as I'll be having a baby girl. I have some idea in my mind but we'll wait till I am strong enough to preparation them or may be I can make the decor before I even give birth.

My sister Faye decided said she we will have cupcakes buffet on that day. Wow..that would be great!!! Sponsored some more..Just can't wait for that interesting day.
